"Hello! My name is Sashi, and I'm a Biosciences major and pre-med student at Rice University. I’m deeply passionate about empowering my students and making knowledge accessible to a wide range of learning styles.

Currently, I am happy to tutor in SAT/ACT/PSAT prep, AP/Honors Chemistry, AP/Honors Math (Prealgebra through AP Calculus BC), and college application essay editing! My teaching approach includes breaking down complex concepts into more approachable steps and emphasizing deep understanding over brute-force memorization, so that my students leave each session feeling confident that they can apply their knowledge to any scenario they encounter. In addition, I’m passionate about supporting students as they find their unique voices and express themselves with authenticity, clarity, and confidence.

To these aims, I bring a proven record of academic achievement and experience. I earned a 36 on the ACT (36 for all subscores), 1570 on the SAT (800 on Math), and I am a National Merit Scholar. I am also a four-time US National Chemistry Olympiad qualifier, a Texas State Champion in UIL Chemistry, and received 5's on 14 AP exams (including Calculus AB/BC, Chemistry, English, Biology, and Physics). In addition, I designed and instructed the first after-school chemistry class for local middle schoolers in my hometown, and currently mentor high school AP Research students through the Eureka program at Rice.
