I am James, and I have been tutoring now for almost 9 years. In that time, I have worked as both a private tutor and as an employee at two universities. I have taught across nearly all age groups--from adult learners, to high schoolers and college students, to younger kids. My formal educational background is in science (biology), so I am quite comfortable teaching most life sciences up to the college level. In addition, I worked in a university writing center where I taught students of all ages how to write college-level essays, helped proofread papers in numerous subjects, and assisted students with a myriad of English and writing assignments.

I have experience teaching a number of other, related, subjects as well, so please feel free to ask!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I have taken (and taught) numerous classes in the life sciences including, but not limited to: Microbiology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology/Biochemistry, Genetics, Environmental Biology, Bioinformatics, Physiology/Pathophysiology, General Chemistry, and many more.
