"Hello and welcome! I am an engaged private tutor, highly motivated to make science accessible through education. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Goias and a PhD. in Toxicology and Cancer Biology from the University of Kentucky. I also have post-graduate training as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Campinas. My academic training provided me with expertise in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry and Immunology. I also have experience tutoring high school students in Chemistry and Algebra.

I bring over 15 years of teaching experience across multiple settings. I have tutored high school students one on one in chemistry and algebra, and I have served as a substitute teacher in public schools, teaching chemistry and English grammar to high school students. In academic research environments, I mentored undergraduate, master's and PhD students in molecular biology techniques, experimental design and scientific communication. My tutoring approach is personalized to each student's learning style and academic needs. My teaching style emphasizes active discussion and engagement. I focus not only on helping students find the right answers, but on building true understanding and connecting concepts to real life problems and experiences.
