"Hello! I’m Charlotte, and I hold a BS in Chemistry and an MS in Analytical Chemistry from Brigham Young University. I’ve taught biology at a charter school and have over 13 years of tutoring experience in subjects including chemistry, biology, physics, algebra, geometry, calculus, and SAT math. I scored 5s on AP Physics, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics, and earned a perfect score on the SAT math section.

I started tutoring classmates in high school and continued through college as a chemistry TA and private tutor. I later worked at a tutoring center, helping students in SAT math prep and one-on-one math and chemistry lessons. During COVID, I shifted to online tutoring using Zoom and an iPad to share my screen and walk students through challenging problems in real time.

Why work with me?

I focus on a patient, student-centered approach that emphasizes understanding the "why" behind concepts—especially in chemistry. My goal is for students to not just memorize steps but to truly grasp the underlying principles. I tailor each session to the student’s pace and needs, helping them build confidence and deeper understanding.

I’m available for online tutoring Monday through Saturday from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM (PST, California time), making it easy to fit in a late-night study session. I respond quickly and encourage students to bring homework or test questions to get the most from our time together.

A bit about me:

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy making handmade soap (a fun chemistry experiment at home!), and growing dragon fruit, blueberries, and plumerias. I also love outdoor adventures, swimming, and bootcamp workouts. As a mom of four young kids, I value patience, flexibility, and creating a supportive environment for learning.
