"Hey, my name is Chris and I look forward to helping you advance in science! I graduated summa cum laude from Dominican University New York as the valedictorian of my class with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. I also have minors in chemistry and history (yes, history!). Throughout my college career, I made every effort to study as much as I could because I enjoyed learning so much, and still do!

I have been a middle school science teacher for the past four years at a public charter school in central Florida. This role has given me plenty of classroom experience, since I teach approximately 120 students per year divided into five periods. In science, one topic always builds upon another, so it is important to master concepts in a sequential and logical order. I like to follow the tried and true 'I do, we do, you do' approach with my students in order to build their academic confidence while guiding them through this learning process.

I have taught both 6th grade and 8th grade students in a wide variety of scientific topics as outlined in Florida's learning standards. This, along with my own educational background in biology, chemistry, and graduate coursework has prepared me to help students at many learning levels ranging from 6th grade comprehensive science to high school biology and chemistry.
