"Hi there, I'm Kermit! I'm a Software Engineer in Game Development, and I've been tutoring students in Computer Science and Math for over 9 years. Instead of simply giving the answers away, I love getting to know the student and encourage them to think about the problems in relatable terms they can understand. Through this process, I excel in breaking complicated topics down into smaller understandable chunks. The most important thing to me is making a positive impact and building a caring mentoring relationship, working through the problems to help the students solve and deeply understand.
In college, I've studied Applied Mathematics all the way through. I've taken Calculus 1, 2, 3, Advanced Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Geometry, Mathematical Modeling, Statistics, Data Science, and more. These mathematics are crucial to making videos games, and are used throughout my daily work.
I've earned a B.S. in Computer Science, and as a Game Developer, programming is my daily work! Throughout college and my work, I've been exposed to many different languages and technologies, as well as mastery in the core fundamentals such as Algorithms and Data Structures.
As my secondary career and hobby, I compose music for video games and help teach music theory to budding musicians! I'm skilled in the analysis and composition of video game music.
Programming, computer science, and math doesn't have to be hard anymore. Book an appointment with me today!" less...
