I started learning Spanish in middle school and understand the struggles that come with learning Spanish as a foreign language in an American high school. After high school, I moved to Spain for a year, took intensive Spanish classes, and lived with two host families. From there I moved back to Massachusetts where I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. During my undergraduate degree, I completed a semester abroad in Spain, a year-long internship in a Spanish classroom at a bilingual elementary school, and volunteered in Peru; all to continue improving my Spanish language skills and to improve my knowledge of Spanish culture.

After college, I spent time teaching English in Barcelona, and upon returning to Massachusetts worked as the Educational Specialist for a non-profit organization that specializes in working with children from homeless families. I then worked for a few years as an Admissions Counselor for a private university in Boston in the International Admissions Department and currently work as an Academic Advisor for a community college." less...
