"The reason I became a tutor is because my daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia 20 years ago. At the time there was not a tutor that was affordable in our area. So, I took it upon myself to obtain the training and begin my tutoring experience. After completing the course, I became a certified tutor for students with dyslexia. The whole journey has been exceptionally rewarding.

Now, I've been tutoring for last 20 years and taught elementary school for 10 years. My passion is helping students gain confidence and obtaining his/her educational goals. I have worked with many students of all needs over the years. Although, I have tutored in all areas, my specialty is teaching students with special learning needs; such as Dyslexia, ADD & ADHD, Autism, and other learning disorders. I focus on reading, reading comprehension , spelling, vocabulary and writing of grade school aged children. I prefer Orton-Gillingham materials and I'm a certified tutor for the Barton system- dyslexia. I am confident that with my patience, experience, expertise and personal lesson plans for your child, will help them gain the confidence and ability to reach their goals. I tutor online as well and I'm excited to embrace this opportunity to help more students.
