"I teach Advanced (honors) Chemistry, AP Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at a boarding school in Windsor, CT. I enjoy teaching and helping students achieve greater academic success. As a teacher, I challenge my students and make sure that they are all achieving at their highest potential. I maintain a fun and positive learning environment with a strong sense of purpose and urgency in my classroom. My teaching style is very engaging; I use lots of mnemonics, analogies, real-life examples and applications in my lessons. I help students see the relevance of what they are learning in their everyday lives. I also equip students with strategies and ideas that help them master the material better and recall it more effortlessly in hopes of being more successful on assessments. In my very first year of teaching, I taught AP Chem at a public school in Houston, TX, where I was awarded the Science Teacher of the Year Award. I'm an alumnus of Middlebury College, VT where I majored in chemistry and minored in Math and German--I lived in Berlin, Germany for almost a year! I earned my master's degree in chemistry from the University of St. Joseph, CT.
