"About me:

I'm a patient and attentive tutor, ready to assist learners in pursuit of their educational goals. With over eight years of classroom teaching experience, I am eager to help students excel, particularly in high school or college biology. Want help digging into a primary paper or preparing a lab report? I would love to help! I have tutored, TA'd, or taught every age, from elementary schoolers to medical residents and fellows. I am currently accepting students on weekends or weekday evenings. I am happy to work with individuals or small groups (2-5 students).

Education and experience:

I hold a Master's in Genetics and Genomics from Duke University. My undergraduate degrees are in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a Chemistry minor (B.S.) and English Writing (B.A.). In college and graduate school, I tutored students in college writing; elementary reading, writing, math, and science; SAT and GRE prep; anatomy; and a variety of genetics courses. I have been a classroom teacher since 2015, in both traditional and advanced settings, including a couple of semesters online. Courses taught include general high school biology, AP Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Molecular Genetics, and 8th grade science.
