"I am a teacher at heart! I have over 40 years of experience, teaching from Pre-K to senior adults. I have my M.A. and am "ABD" in the field of Education and Curriculum. Most of my teaching has been in public schools (grades K-12) in the areas of ELL and Spanish, which I love. During COVID, much of my teaching turned to on-line, which I still do with students one-on-one. However, I have also homeschooled and been part of a cooperative school. During those years, I have taught English, Reading, Oklahoma History, US History, Social Studies, World Cultures, and a smattering of other subjects. I really believe that "subjects" are interrelated and want students see those cross-connections. I have received several local, state, and national awards for outstanding teacher and educator.

I have traveled and taught English to students from other countries. I have also volunteered in Central America, teaching literacy skills to indigenous populations. I enjoy helping students get to their "I can do this!" moment and then working on their continued success. Like most teachers, I learn from my students as well as teach them.
