"Hello, I'm Ms. Ryan! With 25 years of experience teaching science, I have had the privilege of working with countless students through the wonders of the natural world. My college experiences included many courses in Archaeology, Biology, and Geology, terminating in a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology and a minor in Geology. I continued my education to receive a Master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. I currently hold a Florida Professional Teaching Certification in the subjects of Biology, Earth Science, and Social Studies. While I have taught a diverse range of subjects throughout my career, my expertise lies in the life and earth science fields. I have experience teaching and tutoring general and advanced biology, environmental studies, middle grade sciences, along with geography. I am also versed in Cambridge (AICE), IB, and AP courses of Biology and Environmental Studies. I have successfully supported students through not only classroom sessions, but also through private tutoring sessions after school or weekends.

Teaching has always been a deep passion of mine because of the unique opportunity it presents. I find immense joy in making complex ideas accessible and seeing the "aha" moments when students truly grasp something new. My main goal is to build a relationship with each student to understand their individual needs and foster an environment where they feel safe to ask questions. It is not just about imparting knowledge, but about cultivating curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
