"I began tutoring before I started my teaching degree. My first tutoring student was a woman in my undergrad statistics class. She had failed the class twice and had to pass it to get her degree. I got her through the class with a B or a C. I can't remember exactly.

After getting my Masters in Teaching I taught at a small public school, 6th grade English, 6th - 8th grade math. Later I taught grades 7 - 12 in a small private boarding school. I taught all subjects until other teachers were hired. At that point I specialized in Math and Science.

After medically retiring from full time teaching, I tutored for a professional tutoring company funded by the No Child Left Behind program. I also worked with students on test prep when Nevada used a standardized test for high school graduation. I had a 100% success rate, sometimes with less than a month to work in.

I enjoy teaching and learning. I look forward to meeting new students and helping them see their studies in a new light.
