"I have taught high school math for 35 years. I love my job and have seen a great deal of success. In the 14 years that I taught calculus I achieved over a 90% pass rate on the AP test with half of my students getting 5's. I was nominated as Rookie Teacher of the year in my first year of teaching and for a Golden Apple about 14 years later. I have taught SAT courses in addition to all levels of mathematics.

I recently retired from my position of 31 years but I would like to continue to teach. I would love to continue to help students reach their potential and understand concepts that, until now, had been confusing. It has been my experience that simply finding another way of presenting the material will make the concepts accessible to most students.

After 31 years I have accumulated multiple ways of presenting material and can anticipate most misconceptions and where most students have difficulties. My students attain a deeper understanding and regularly say "this is the first time I ever really understood math".
