"Rose here! Over the course of my academic career, I have received a Bachelor's in Physics from the University of Virginia and a Master's in Medical Physics from Brown University. During my undergraduate, I really got a taste of what it was like to tutor through my TA job in the physics department. I get a great deal of joy from being able to help students advance their learning and understanding of harder concepts.
I spent most of my time in my Master's tutoring part time. I did a mixture of in person and online tutoring for all different age groups and topics. In terms of test prep, I focused mainly on the SAT and PSAT, but have worked with students on the ACT and PRAXIS exams as well. Academic topics range from middle school math to collegiate statistic work. I have a wide breadth of experience when it comes to STEM based topics, and as a result should be able to help you or your child succeed. I tailor my lessons to meet my students as they need. Lesson plans are my general outline, but my approach is very individualized. One of my main pillars for my approach is to encourage students to be comfortable asking questions. i try to get to the root of the misunderstandings that way students can feel more confident doing harder questions going forward.
I have past experience helping students to increase their scores by at least 100 points on the SAT as well as improving their grades. I understand tutoring can be a big choice, so I encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions or if you want to schedule a lesson. I look forward to being able to help!" less...
