As someone with a passion for veterinary science, I know all too well the troubles of school -- especially with math and science. I have two years of formal tutoring experience, where I tutored children from low-income families that could not otherwise afford those lessons. Otherwise I have spent many more years teaching myself and fellow classmates. Being a college student, I am always studying and figuring out the best way to absorb different kinds of information. I seek to foster confidence and inspire curiosity with my students, tailoring each session to their needs.
As someone who is neurodivergent, I understand several perspectives when it comes to learning -- especially those of frustration because we may learn differently than what is the teaching standard. I hope to overcome this in my teaching, with a patient, determined and adaptable mindset as our lessons are centered around you! They will be personalized to how you learn and what can best help you succeed. Be it through metaphors, mnemonics, working through practice problems, independent practice with checking over your work, etc.
I understand how frustrating school can be and hope that I may assist in lightening the stress of learning, with an added bonus of humor.
