"I graduated with two undergraduate degrees one in Economics and one in Accounting from the University of Vermont. Shortly after graduating, I obtained my CPA license, which I have kept active to this day. I have continued my career in the accounting field and have six years of hands-on experience in both private and public industries. While attending college, I took on part-time jobs as both a teacher’s assistant and a tutor. As a teacher’s assistant, one of my responsibilities was to teach a weekly review class. Each week, I attended regular classes and graded students’ work. Based on the results, my observations in class, and the relevant material, I would create and lead review sessions tailored to the students' needs.

As a tutor, I conducted one-on-one sessions with students upon request, which I greatly enjoyed because I could tailor each session to the specific student’s needs. I reviewed completed coursework to target our learning objectives as precisely as possible. Additionally, I tutored during drop-in hours, where students could come to the university’s learning center without an appointment. This was an interesting experience, as it required me to provide answers and explanations on the fly, depending on who came in and what their needs were. Overall, when teaching, I ensure that each lesson incorporates hearing, practicing, and visualizing the material.
