"Hello! My name is Maria. I graduated with honors from Chelyabinsk State University with a Specialist Degree in Linguistics and Intercultural Communication. During my first year of studies I started teaching English and Spanish at a language school in my hometown in Russia. While working with different groups of students had been a wonderful and invaluable experience, I realized that one-to-one lessons proved to be more effective than group classes since I could fully address specific needs of each student. Seeing my students succeed was so rewarding that I decided to become a full-time tutor. Since then I have helped more than 70 students all over the world - from Washington and Lima to Lisbon and Moscow.

I have more than ten years of tutoring experience and a strong linguistic background. I offer personalized approach to every student to deliver best results. I believe that all people are capable of learning a new language. However, every student has a different learning style; therefore I apply suitable teaching approaches and methods. I also choose topics and material relevant to students’ interests to make learning process more pleasant and engaging.
