"Hi, my name is Faiza! I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Neuroscience Honors and Management Information Systems. I served as a peer academic coach at UT Austin, helping students apply and gain admission to competitive honors programs, teaching strategies to help raise grades by an average of two letter grades, and applying and gaining admission to competitive graduate school programs. I have helped students transfer to UT Austin, as well as internally transfer to competitive majors such as Computer Science and Business, through the application review, personal statement editing, and interview prep. Some of my mentees now attend Baylor College of Medicine, Boston University, UT Austin, and Yale, among other schools, for their graduate studies.

Additionally, I have over five years of tutoring experience from the elementary to college levels in subjects such as college test prep, personal statement writing, math, reading, and science. I served as a teaching assistant for a Neural Systems II course during my undergraduate career, tutored refugee students, reviewed and edited personal statements,

I received a 34 on my ACT (32 in math, 35 in science, 34 in English, and a 36 in Reading), placing in the 99th percentile of test takers. I work with students to set and achieve goals, teaching both content and strategies to raise their scores.
