"Hi, I’m Nina and I graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelors of science in psychology. I work as a research scientist in the medical center and I am passionate about learning. Throughout my education, I’ve seen firsthand how everyone has different strengths and learning styles. I have brought this knowledge into my tutoring experience over the last 2 years where I have worked with a variety of students between ages 6-19. Some have had differences such as ADHD whereas others were just looking for a boost in their understanding of a subject. I have held tutoring sessions at students’ homes, libraries, online, or at local coffee shops and have worked on a variety of subjects such as elementary math, English, reading, vocabulary, beginner to advanced Spanish, psychology, and writing.

In any case, I am excited to work with you to figure out how to best help you improve your skills. I start off a new tutoring relationship with a consultation where I can understand what subject(s) you need help with, what your goals are, and how we can best achieve them. Then, I will review your coursework, come up with a lesson plan and practice questions, and make sure to give you dedicated one-on-one time and advice to ensure a positive and successful tutoring experience.
