"I'm Zachary! I am a senior at Muhlenberg College, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Math. I have been tutoring students in various subjects for ten years. My educational interests include math and history. Although I have not extensively studied history in college, learning about history through sources like primary documents and nonfiction books has allowed me to explore the subject. My love for education comes from my parents, who have instilled in me the great value of learning and always growing. When I started in college, I discovered a strong passion for teaching because I was able to see the immense impact a teacher can have on a single student. I strongly believe every student can achieve more with just a bit of encouragement, support, and guidance tailored to their strengths. I strive to bring this to every lesson I teach through my lesson plans and attitude. When I am teaching, I think it is important to incorporate the students' interests into the lesson in some format, which might appear when the material is introduced. Since the best way to learn is by being active with the material, I allow ample time during lessons for practice and discussion.

I have experience teaching in classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one tutoring. I have provided small group and individual tutoring to students in classrooms from Kindergarten through 8th grade, tutoring subjects like English, Math, and History. My students' understanding of the material at hand ranged from struggling to understand to being advanced and working ahead of their class. Regardless of their level, I always made sure to meet the students where they were, ensuring that each student got the help they needed.
