"My name is Anisha, and I am currently a third-year medical student at Brown University. I also completed my undergraduate studies at Brown, where I majored in Behavioral Decision Sciences and Health & Human Biology and graduated magna cum laude. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in writing, critical thinking, and effective learning strategies, all of which shape the way I support students.

I have been tutoring for almost ten years and have worked with learners across a wide range of ages, from early elementary school students to adults returning to school. Most of my experience has been in one-on-one settings, where I focus on helping students build confidence as well as a solid understanding of the material. I adapt my approach to each student’s learning style and pace, and many of my students continue working with me across multiple subjects as they move through different stages of their education.

In addition to students of all ages, I especially enjoy working with high school students who are preparing for standardized exams or applying to college. I received a 36 on my ACT and was the valedictorian of my high school, and I use these experiences to guide students through both the academic and strategic aspects of the process. I also love helping students with college essays and personal statements, as I enjoy supporting them in discovering their voice and communicating their story clearly and authentically.
