"Hi, I'm Chung Koo. I am a physics PhD from Cornell University. And I graduated from Seoul National University, the top school in South Korea as an electronics (EECS) major for Bachelor's degree. Physics and electronics have one thing in common: both demand the highest caliber in mathematics. One in natural science, one in engineering. I loved math from when I was a middle school student. The joy of solving math problems deeply attracted me. Which led me to advance to the national level math competition round in high school. I have an elementary school daughter, but I still solve high school math problems for fun. I liked physics also because it is built upon mathematical language.

We all know that math is hard. As a person who experienced and overcame more challenges in math and physics, I loved sharing my experience to help people out of the troubles I went through. I liked helping friends informally during high school days, I liked 1:1 tutoring high school students in college, and I liked teaching undergraduate students in classrooms as a TA in graduate school. The harder the subject or topic is, the more opportunities are out there in which I can make students feel the enlightenment.

Much like everyday conversation, a slightly inaccurate assumption might be holding you back when you have trouble in understanding a concept and solving a problem.
