"Hi! My name is Cassie, and I am studying at Wheaton College where I will major in both Mathematics and Secondary Education, along with a minor in Computer Science. I have a passion for math, but I know that many students approach math with a mentality that they will never understand it. I have seen how teachers can make students believe in themselves in a way that allows them to not only succeed in math, but also allow them to take their new-found confidence and succeed in other subjects as well.

I hope to be a tutor that can encourage students and help them grow in ways that prepare them to succeed in their current classes and future classes. I hope to do this in fun and engaging ways that guide students to the right answers so that students can truly learn material for themselves and develop personal learning strategies. I encourage students to ask questions, and I am always open to hearing ideas for how they can best learn and be taught.

I have 5 years of tutoring experience with high-schoolers. I have tutored in: Algebra 1 and 2, Calculus 1, 2, and 3, Linear Algebra, and Trigonometry; my speciality is in Calculus. I have worked one-on-one with students usually 1 or 2 times a week, and I have experience with working both virtually (typically over Zoom) and in-person.

My goal is to help students as much as possible, meaning I am always open to any suggestions or additional resources that either parents or students may have.
