"Hello I am Imani! I graduated with a bachelors in Biology and have had a lifelong passion for education. The classes I appreciated most were math classes because I loved trying to solve complex problems while still being challenged. I loved putting equations together and seeing how they made sense. The math professors I have had in college have cultivated my love for numbers and have peaked my curiosity into helping others understand a universal language that is complicated for others to understand. When I asked for additional help the professors always assisted with pleasure and explained concepts in a way that it was easy to understand therefore I found myself able to explain concepts to others in the way I understood them.

My tutoring style uses fun yet engaging activities to help others retain the concepts that need to be addressed. I use concepts that relate to a person so that they can easily remember the concepts and apply them to daily life in the classroom. I also have an adaptive teaching style depending on the students needs and ability. I am an encouraging person every step of the way that does not allow students to give up but instead reach their full potential.

I have one years experience in tutoring students in Algebra and every one of them succeeded given my teaching methods and found it easier to understand when it was explained in a different way. I take pride in advancing student education and am willing to work with any student to maximize their understanding and accomplishments.

I have tutored for one year and the way that I make the lessons relatable to students passions allows them to grasp the concepts that are typically harder for them to understand when explained by another individual. I can easily identify students weaknesses and work with them to gain confidence on tests and in the classroom that lasts far beyond the classroom setting.
