"I like to use easier example problems as reference to be able to simplify the problem and assist the studen to tackle the more challenging question provided. Assisting the student in remembering every formula and strategy to breeze through math problems sets me apart as a tutor since that proves to be the key in many math classes. These lessons are designed for middle, high school, and even college level students who could use heavy assistance in their math levels.

While I was in high school, in order to accumulate volunteering hours, I tutored on the website called upchieve.org. It allowed me to tutor students whether they were in high school, middle school, or even elementary school students who needed assistance in their academic courses. How this whole process would work is that students would create a request to look for tutors who can assist in the subject in which they are asking help in. After I would claim one, it would take us to a 1 on 1 session, with a text box and a whiteboard. I would go over the question with them with texting, and when we were done, the student would end the session.

After completing 100 volunteering hours with them, I requested the site to get my hours approved. Later that week, I received a coaching certificate verifying the hours that I managed to log with them and sent it in to my guidance counselor at the time to verify the hours. I began tutoring on UPchieve my sophomore year, which was early 2022. It will have been 2 years since I started that journey there and it has truly been a blessing.

I have already graduated high school and have successfully received my diploma. I also graduated Valencia with an A.A Degree in General Studies and am currently a UCF undergraduate taking classes this fall semester. As I am a student, I am searching for side hustles to make money to help me pay for my financial academic needs at school while also helping others in my community who may be struggling in classes that I have taken before.
