"Hi! My name is Julia. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in Political Science and a concentration in American Politics, along with minors in Philosophy and Sociology. During my time at WashU, I served as a teaching assistant for several political science courses, including Introduction to American Politics. In that role, I led a weekly subsection of about ten students, developed lesson plans, and facilitated discussions to deepen students’ understanding of U.S. government and political systems.

Through my coursework and teaching experience, I developed a strong foundation in American government, international relations, and political theory. I also joined an honor society for international affairs, where I volunteered as a private tutor for students interested in global politics.

After college, I worked as a government consultant at Deloitte, gaining firsthand insight into how public institutions operate. I later joined a political campaign, which allowed me to further engage with U.S. government processes in a practical context. Currently, I work at a communications firm, where I strengthen my writing, grammar, and messaging skills daily—skills I’m eager to help my students develop as well.

I’m passionate about helping students improve their understanding of history, culture, and government. Teaching has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my academic and professional life, and I’m excited to return to it.
