"With a Bachelor's of Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences degree from UNC Chapel Hill as well as minors in Chemistry and Computer Science I am have personally traversed through a deep and wide range of subjects in maths and sciences. I have been tutoring folks in these subjects since highschool, ranging from algebra and general chemistry, all the way up to skeletal biomechanics, which is quite math heavy as you can imagine. My teaching experience includes a year as a teacher's assistant in the Biomedical Engineering department at university, as well several years of working with refugee children in grades K-12 with course work in a volunteer capacity.

My students have ranged over the years from peers in various college majors trying their hand at linear algebra, to middle school children stumped by the slope of a line. I aim to explain things conceptually and ask the student questions to test their understanding. I find it important to make sure terms used in a lesson or concept are clear, before providing an explanation, and make use of analogies and visualizations whenever possible.

Alongside math tutoring, I am an avid language learner and teacher. Growing up bilingual, I am native in both English and Arabic, and to this day teach in depth Arabic grammar and syntax to adults on a weekly basis and have been doing so for 2 years." less...
