"Hi! I’m a pre-med undergraduate majoring in Psychology with a strong background in math and a lot of experience helping students feel more confident in it. I previously worked as a high school Algebra II teaching assistant, where I supported students during class, answered questions one-on-one, and helped break down challenging topics.
I’ve also tutored Algebra I, Algebra II, Precalculus, SAT Math, and elementary-level math in both paid and volunteer settings, with most of my experience coming from volunteering. I primarily work in one-on-one sessions, which allows me to adapt explanations to each student’s learning style and focus on areas where they feel stuck.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and very step-by-step. I focus on making math feel more manageable by building strong foundations, explaining the “why” behind problems, and helping students gain confidence instead of just memorizing formulas. I’m especially comfortable working with students who feel anxious or frustrated with math.
I earned a 5 on the AP Calculus exam and a 740 on the SAT Math section, and I enjoy helping students prepare for tests as well as everyday coursework. My goal is always to make math less intimidating and more approachable." less...
