"I'm Mitch! I have a Master's in accounting, and I double majored in accounting and finance during my undergrad. I have been a tutor since my second year of college, and have developed an intimate understanding of the subject material in my areas that I am able to break down for students who may be struggling with the conceptual aspects of accounting or finance.

I have tutored students successfully through courses in both financial accounting and managerial accounting. With my professional experience I am also able to provide insight into what the material in the course looks like in practice, and I believe this benefits my students, giving them greater understanding of the material and preparing them for a professional career.

I have also tutored students successfully through finance courses, and specifically am able to provide real world examples to concepts taught, making the material more concrete in what would otherwise be an abstract subject area. This has boosted student comprehension and elevated performance.

In addition to my tutoring experience I have also taught introductory accounting, intermediate accounting, and individual income tax classes at the college level. I also have over 5 years experience working as a revenue agent for the IRS.

My goal with every student I tutor is not only to help them pass a course, but to give them a deep understanding of the course content that they will be able to use beyond the classroom.
