"Does your student struggle with understanding the basic structure of a sentence or paragraph? Are they struggling to understand the major plot and themes of a novel and write about it? I can help all middle school, high school, and college writing questions and needs. I am a senior English Education student studying at Cedarville University. I have experience working and teaching in high schools, and I will be heading into full-time student teaching this spring. I have worked for my college Writing Center for the past year, and spend 10-15 hours a week working with both high school and college students in one-on-one tutoring. I have received excellent reviews from the college writing center, and I am certain that my knowledge and skills that I have learned there will translate well into online and local tutoring. Additionally, I am the Treasurer of my university's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, which is a national English honor society. I also maintain a 3.8 GPA in school. I can tutor high school or college reading and writing, as well as help with college entrance essays or SAT and ACT prep.

To begin each session, I will discuss what the student feels like their strengths and weaknesses are in the particular paper or with writing in general. This will help me to get a sense of what the student is really looking/needing to work on so that we can make the most of our time and work on as much of the assignment as possible.
