"Hi, I'm Anika!

I'm currently a biology student at UC Santa Cruz, set to graduate with my bachelor's degree next year. After that, I'll be pursuing a PhD with the goal of going into cancer research—a field that’s especially meaningful to me.

Before UCSC, I earned my associate's degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Math and Science from West Valley College. While there, I worked as a tutor specializing in math, biology, and chemistry. I hosted Zoom tutoring sessions where I helped students with homework, test prep, and offered advice based on my own experience as a West Valley student. I also served as an embedded tutor for a Plant Biology course, assisting students during lab sessions and holding additional office hours tailored to that class.

My tutoring journey began in high school, where I helped underclassmen in a range of subjects, particularly math. Over the years, I’ve continued to enjoy helping others learn—whether it’s friends, classmates, or students I’ve tutored professionally.
