"I’m a current Mechanical Engineering student at Columbia University, with a strong foundation in mathematics and physics dating back to my high school years in the Caucasus—where I graduated from the top physics–mathematics high school in the region. Over the years, I’ve cultivated extensive teaching experience: I served as a Math Instructor for 20 students on SAT and led the Math Department of our community service program. My academic achievements include being a winner in a CERN-organized contest, earning first place and a first-degree diploma in the King’s National Mathematical Olympiad, ranking in the top 4 of the National Physics Olympiad semi-finals, placing 2nd in a high school Hackathon Championship, and achieving a perfect SAT Math score of 800/800.
I specialize in Precalculus, Calculus I & II, algebra I & II, geometry, SAT, physics and problem-solving techniques tailored for math/physics Olympiads and standardized tests. My teaching philosophy centers on helping each student build conceptual understanding first, then reinforcing it through worked examples and practice problems. I know that every learner is different, so if a particular solution path doesn’t resonate, I’ll offer another—whether it’s an algebraic manipulation, a geometric insight, or a graphical interpretation—so students gain both flexibility and confidence.
If you’re interested in strengthening your math or physics skills—whether you’re preparing for tests, competitions, or simply aiming for higher grades—please feel free to reach out. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals and discover multiple pathways to solve every problem!" less...
