"I’m a biomedical informatics graduate student with a strong foundation in science, data analysis, and education. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of California, Davis, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree at the University of Texas, UTHealth Science Center at Houston School of Biomedical Informatics. My studies focus on predictive modeling, data-driven healthcare, and how technology can enhance the learning, thinking, and decision-making processes of students and patients.
For the past five years, I have worked with students from middle school through college, helping them strengthen their skills in AP science, mathematics, and standardized test preparation. My teaching style is structured but supportive. Each session begins with clear goals, steady pacing, and practical feedback that helps students see measurable progress.
I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind each concept rather than simply memorizing steps or formulas. Whether it is solving challenging math problems, refining SAT or ACT essays, or mastering concepts in biology and chemistry, I teach students how to reason through problems with clarity and confidence.
My experience spans one-on-one tutoring, online instruction, and volunteer programs where I’ve guided students with diverse learning styles and goals. Many of my students have achieved significant milestones, including improving their SAT scores by over 150 points, earning 4s and 5s on AP exams, and gaining more substantial academic confidence overall.
Teaching is more than a profession for me. It’s a partnership that builds understanding, discipline, and long-term growth. My goal is to help every student develop skills that last far beyond the classroom." less...
