"I'm Magdalena! I graduated from the University of Chicago after attending Phillips Exeter Academy where I received the Classics Diploma focusing on Latin. My priorities have always been: stress-free engagement, positive reinforcement and adaptability. Every student is unique and requires a specific approach to a given subject; I patiently work with my clients to find the most productive avenues to knowledge. Students and parents have always appreciated my ability to relate to my students and create a learning environment that is equal parts safe-space and rigorous academic boot camp. I provide for my students the type of education that I wish I had, and was lucky enough to receive from the best of my instructors and mentors!

I began tutoring in 2017 at an elite organization serving the New York tristate area, specializing in standardized testing (SAT/ACT/SSAT/ISEE), English, Latin and Math. In 2019, I lived in Italy for a year as a private family tutor across various high school subjects. Since returning to the states I have tutored a wide range of middle school and high school students as a freelancer.

As a trans woman, I also know what it's like to be an outsider in academic environments while trying to succeed. It isn't always easy! I have enjoyed working with students who might experience various social challenges in school for any reason. My goal for them and for any student is to help spread the joy and power that can be gained from learning. It should be exciting and fun as often as possible.
