"Hi there, I'm Amy! I hold a BSc in Psychology and BA in Anthropology as well as a Master's in Primate Behaviour and Conservation. Outside of this platform, I have been working as a substitute teacher and tutor for over eight months.

I have received corporate training in general tutoring and more specific training in teaching ACT, SAT, and assisting with college essays. I have experience tutoring a wide range of ages from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. I teach subjects including SAT Reading/Writing, ACT English/Reading, early reading, early writing, study skills, college essays, mathematics up to Algebra I, AP Psychology, AP Literature, AP Language, AP Seminar, and AP Research. All of my test prep students outside of this platform have seen an increase in their scores! I have seen significant success from my students with ADHD and anxiety, too.

I am incredibly passionate about education and bring lots of enthusiasm, encouragement, and positivity to my classroom. I always work to build my students' confidence and adapt to their learning styles. This may mean teaching calming techniques to use before a test, working on effective annotation and notetaking, or encouraging student growth.
