"Hello! My name is Jun and I am a student majoring in Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Austin. Throughout my years in high school, I have dedicated my time to teaching high schoolers in all subjects. However, I realized that the classes which I truly enjoyed did not only stem from my excitement for that class but also came from the environment that the teacher created. These teachers were always engaging and had a sense of reliability and friendliness that made their class both vulnerable and motivating. I take this knowledge to heart when I'm teaching because I want students to feel the same about taking classes from me. Every class, I will have a plan set out on how much we are going to learn in one day. Each lesson is going to provide foundational understandings of different theories while not making the information be too overwhelming for the students to understand. Afterwards, there will be some time for the students to practice the information that they learned.

I have four years of experience tutoring high schoolers within AP courses like Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Physics and Statistics. These 90 minute classes were conducted in groups of 4-5 kids but I have also taught 1-1 before. I have often gone stayed after lessons to finish teaching concepts and will provide tutoring sessions everyday to make sure that availability is not an issue. Finally, I typically work with students online but can go in person if requested.
