"In middle school, I was a very humanities-oriented student and had a lot of trouble with math. I learned to train my brain to think in a more STEM-oriented manner in high school, achieving all As or A+s in my honors/AP math courses and am now currently a STEM major in the area of neuroscience! As a result, I know what it is like to approach a subject when it does not come naturally and am proof that you can still be successful! I look to break things down for my students in a functional manner so that the material not only makes sense but can be applied to new problems in order to keep up that success in future subjects.

Over the years I have gained extensive knowledge in the fields of math and science. I received 5s on my AP Statistics and AP Biology exams as well as As in two semesters of college Biology, Chemistry and Physics and one semester of Biostatistics. I also have experience in anatomy and psychology by mastering courses in Neuroscience, Behavioral Neuroscience, Sensation and Perception, and Neurobiology as well as receiving a 5 on the AP Psychology exam.

In high school, I participated in volunteer tutoring for middle school level math. Now, I do paid group tutoring for middle and high school level math and science courses as well as one on one tutoring for college courses such as Chem II and Intro to Neuroscience. I also participate in mentoring programs through my college where I am in charge of planning socioemotional learning workshops for large groups of high schoolers.
