"I have always had a passion for learning and for helping others reach their academic goals. I graduated high school and college with a 4.0 GPA, ranking in the top 5% of my class, and I am now pursuing my medical degree. Along the way, I scored a 1500 on the PSAT, earned National Merit recognition, and achieved a 1550 on the SAT. These experiences gave me not only a strong foundation in math and science but also firsthand knowledge of how to succeed in standardized testing. I have previously tutored high school students in Algebra I, Algebra II, and Biology, and worked as a peer tutor for Chemistry in college. My experience ranges from working with students aged 13-18 to supporting college-level learners, which has given me the flexibility to adapt my approach to different academic needs and skill levels.
When tutoring, I take a personalized and patient approach. I believe every student learns differently, so I focus on identifying how each individual best absorbs material;whether that’s through step-by-step problem solving, practice questions, or conceptual explanations. I particularly value one-on-one settings, where I can devote my full attention to ensuring students not only understand the material but also gain confidence in their abilities. My goal is to break down complex concepts into manageable parts and build skills in a way that feels approachable and empowering. I encourage students to ask questions and actively engage, and I make it a priority to connect lessons to their long-term goals, whether that’s a test, preparing for college, or simply building stronger study habits." less...
