"Hi, my name is Daniel, and I love Math and Science. My love for these subjects led me to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees in Aerospace Engineering at Mississippi State University and North Carolina State University, respectively. I graduated from both programs summa cum laude with a GPA of >3.9. While studying for these, I excelled in several Mechanical Analysis courses such as Statics, Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics. In addition, I worked for a year as a Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer for the USAF, designing components and analyzing text results for a moment of inertia pendulum. I currently work as an Aeronautical Structural Dynamicist, where I leverage my skills in Structural Analysis, Structural Dynamics, Unsteady Aerodynamics, and Finite Element Analysis to solve problems. While at MSU, I realized I had a talent for helping my peers with studying and homework, so I leveraged this to work as a high school math tutor and undergraduate Engineering Mechanics Supplemental Instructor. I worked in these positions for 2 years, and in that time, I helped many students improve their grades by teaching them by example and repetition until they became comfortable following the procedure without guidance. As a Supplemental Instructor, I worked with both small groups of <10 and large groups of >50 students, both in person and online. I'd like to use this experience and my skills to help students become more comfortable with and grow in their proficiency in Math, Physics, and Engineering Mechanics courses." less...
