"Hi, I’m Preston, a fourth-year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine who will be starting General Surgery residency later this year. I completed my undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University in Biochemistry and then earned a Master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University.

My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and highly focused on understanding the “why” behind the material. I emphasize mechanistic explanations, visual frameworks, and pattern recognition to promote long-term retention rather than short-term memorization. I tailor each session to the student’s goals and learning style, making sure lessons stay efficient, high-yield, and directly applicable to exams or coursework.

I offer a free initial consultation to make sure we are a good fit and to discuss goals and expectations before beginning lessons. To respect everyone’s time, I ask for advance notice if a session needs to be canceled or rescheduled, and I always review tutoring policies with students by email prior to starting. My goal is to create a professional but low-stress learning environment where students feel supported and confident.
