"SUMMER WRITING AND READING CAMPS--I am offering online 'camps' to help get you ready for the 2025-2026 school year. I will tailor a program to meet your goals and prepare you for next year. Whether it's mastering the persuasive essay or prepping for AP Lang/Lit, I have you covered. If you want to spend the summer exploring classics, I am your girl! I offer anywhere from 1-5 hours a week, and based on the hours, can offer a pro-rates rate. Let's get ready before the paper is due!

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University.

I taught writing for a home school co-op for both middle and senior high schoolers. It's wonderful to watch a hesitant writer blossom to a confident one. That being said, I know some students would prefer solving an advanced calculus problem than writing just one sentence. I can help this student.

I have studied the craft of fiction writing for decades and will have my first novel traditionally published in the fall of 2026.

In addition to creative writing, I have helped several students with formal essays, including college application essays. I have also helped students with basic writing and focussed on getting their messaging across in their voices. I have taught literature in periods ranging from Greek myths to Shakespeare to Hemingway. I love discussing plots, character arcs and themes. It’s exciting when a student can truly understand literature and apply it to his/her life and issues. I honestly believe a good book can change your life.

In addition to my English background, I have taught American history for middle and high school. I have helped many students craft solid history essays. American history, although brief, is a fascinating study. My goals if for kids to get excited about our past and want to learn more.
