After earning an English degree from Mount Holyoke College, I worked as an international journalist before receiving an MA and several awards from Columbia University. I earned a PhD from Bristol University in England, attended Harvard and Oxford universities, and authored and edited acclaimed books that are available in renowned libraries around the world. For over a decade I mentored hundreds of academics and writers at Central European University, where I established a fellowship program before returning home to Boston.
