"Hi! My name is Dallas. I graduated with a Master’s Degree from the University of Delaware in 2025 and a Bachelor’s Degree from Colburn Conservatory in 2023. I have 7 years of experience tutoring students in academic writing, creative nonfiction, reading comprehension, and music theory, and I have 11 years of experience teaching violin to students ranging in age from 6 to 87. Teaching is one of my greatest joys–I love helping people grow in understanding, maximize the efficiency of their studying and writing, and bring their creative ideas to life.

I maintained a GPA of 3.93 in my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs, earning A’s in all of my English and history classes. I received perfect scores on the ACT Reading and English sections, an 800 on the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section, and 5’s on the AP English Language & Composition, AP English Literature & Composition, AP US History, and AP Psychology exams. I was also a Johns Hopkins SET scholar. I am now a published writer, with my work appearing in literary magazines and in Colburn Conservatory concert programs.

I offer proofreading, editing, & revision help for existing drafts of writing (incl. academic papers; application essays; works of fiction; biographies, resumes, and CVs; concert program notes; and music theory assignments). I also offer consulting on study skills and on the early stages of writing–I can help you or your student brainstorm ideas, read sources efficiently and use them effectively, develop outlines, and write abstracts. Having spent much of my life with undiagnosed ADHD, I have years of experience struggling with conventional study methods and developing unique methods of my own, and I can draw on this experience to help students with learning differences through their own versions of this process.
