"Thank you for considering my service! I am a graduate from Yale University, majoring in Economics with a 3.75 GPA, with experience as a Ph.D. candidate in finance at the OSU. Concurrent with academia, I've also studied classical piano performance and have performed at Carnegie Hall. My teaching philosophy is simple: clear communication of new information, and direct translation to action for improved performance. Whether via conservatory-level piano masterclasses or college economics courses, my most cherished learning experience was when teachers presented an idea or concept that gave me an "eureka" moment, almost instantly clarifying many problems and connecting myriad ideas in novel ways, unlocking new possibilities to enhance either comprehension in a difficult subject or flow state. I hope to provide this same experience to all my students. To this end, I cater my style of teaching to each student's needs and adapt my delivery for optimal reception and ultimate performance -- this could look like drilling concepts into rote memory, lesson plans for mentorship-style guidance, and active participation in sessions to engage and inspire student's interests in a topic.

For the past two years I have tutored students in multiple capacities. I've taught piano lessons, provided SAT math and GRE quant prep, tutored in economics (e.g. college-level micro- and macroeconomics) and mathematics, edited numerous college essays, polished PhD statements of purpose, and prepped for masters-level interviews. My GMAT quant score of 50 and 99th percentile overall score show that I'm qualified to handle such specialized subjects. In pursuit of my passion for teaching, I look forward to helping students prepare for college admissions, standardized tests, and coursework.
