"I have 20+ years experience teaching at the middle school, high school and college level. I have taught in Latin AP and IB program. However, since I believe that a class must be interesting, valuable and relevant in order for a student to succeed, I don't just focus on the grammar and vocabulary of Latin and Classical Greek. The valuable class also looks at the culture of the ancient world and how it has molded the present. The other element which is needed in a successful class is humor. This is more than provided by a look at history. I look forward to guiding you through the ancient world and its languages.

As to my qualifications. My Major in college was Latin. I have been the department head for two school districts, and have set up classics programs for three other school districts. Four of my student have gone on to become Latin teacher. I started my education career in 1987 teaching classes at the university.

The first question I ask a student is: There is a word in English which changes its spelling rather it is the subject, the direct object (victim), or owns something. It further changes its spelling when it is masculine, feminine, or neuter. What is it?
