"I am a highly experienced English tutor with more than 25 years of professional experience helping students strengthen reading comprehension, writing skills, critical thinking, and vocabulary. I specialize in ELA for grades 3–12, college writing, and test-prep support for the SAT, ACT, GED, and other assessments.

One of my core methods is teaching Greek and Latin roots to accelerate vocabulary development—most students see measurable progress within the first few weeks. I also provide structured guidance in essay writing, literary analysis, personal statements, and study skills, including executive functioning and organization strategies. In addition, I review and edit personal statements and application essays for college, graduate school, and law school applicants, helping students present their strongest, most compelling work.

I’ve worked with learners of all ages and levels, from elementary students who need foundational reading and grammar support to high-school and college students refining advanced writing, argumentation, and research. My approach is calm, clear, and individualized, helping students build confidence while developing strong, transferable academic skills.
