"Hello! My name is Dr. Ellen. For more than 30 years I have taught and tutored k-12 and adult learners in English, reading, writing, test prep, and study skills. My lessons are customized to meet the unique tutoring needs of each student. Online learning can be effective IF the teacher makes lessons relevant, targeted, and enjoyable which I believe I do (Please look at my reviews.) I am patient, knowledgeable, and supportive and have found that students at all levels can focus better with one-on-one personalized online tutoring. I have a Doctorate in Education, a Master's degree in Reading, a Master's degree in College Transition, a Bachelor's degree in Human Development, and a k-12 teaching credential. I have worked at the local level as well as the state level and even opened up my own online charter school. I also have had the privilege of teaching teachers how to teach and assess reading.
