"I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Georgia, a Master’s in English Education from North Georgia College and State University, and an Ed.S. (Education Specialist) in Instructional Technology from Valdosta State University. I am also a certified educator, licensed in Georgia to teach English for grades 6-12, and have maintained my teaching certification since 2002.

I have over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring English at various levels. My teaching career began in 2002, and I have taught English and developed standards-based units, led AP Language and Composition courses, and designed curriculum maps.

Since 2015, I have also worked as an English Writing Tutor, providing remote tutoring in English for students from kindergarten through college, including essay writing and reading comprehension. My tutoring approach is student-centered and adaptive, focusing on identifying individual learning needs and using a combination of direct instruction, guided practice, and technology integration to support student growth. I am experienced in both one-on-one and small group instruction, and I utilize a variety of online platforms and learning management systems to enhance engagement and accessibility.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students ranging from middle school (6th grade) through college, as well as adult learners in professional development settings. My classroom teaching experience spans over a decade, and I have been tutoring online for more than nine years.
