"Dr. MaryZoe Bowden taught something in every grade level from pre-K through 12th grade at the same independent school where she worked for over 20 years. In addition, she has served as an adjunct professor at the college level. Her primary passion is English and writing, though she has experience teaching ethics, world religions, Humanities, educational history, and philosophy, and a favorite among students: a chicken class!

As an English teacher, she coached untold numbers of students through their college entrance essays. Every year she did so, she encouraged some students to submit their essays to a local contest, and every year two or three of her students’ essays were chosen in the top ten essays out of thousands submitted across the county. In addition, her students’ colleges often sent accolades about the quality of their entrance essays. She helps students articulate their best stories and demonstrate their best selves to the colleges of their choice.
